To make the most of your elearning experience, you may find the following tips useful:
-
Take time to learn new terms. The language is kept simple and new vocabulary is never used without clear explanations. Enrolling for an exam means that you will receive a CD with an extensive glossary that provides a quick reference resource for all terms associated with identification and information security.
-
Interact with the course by using the action buttons and links. This helps memory retention as well as making the learning experience more personal.
-
If you are not using a high resolution monitor, prevent straining your eyes by looking away every five minutes.
-
If you have enrolled for an exam, you will receive a CD with a PDF copy of the course for printing. Please remember that it is an offence to distribute/print copyrighted material without the explicit written permission of www.inhousetraining.ie. Permission is only granted to those individuals and organisations who have entered into an agreement to do so with www.inhousetraining.ie.
- It's a good idea to join an on line discussion group to keep up to date on developments - our courses are reviewed every month to keep the information current. Exam questions reflect these changes, so it is recommended you take the exam as soon as you have finished the course.
-
Remember, you do not have to complete the course in one sitting. You can return to the course using your CD (if you have enrolled for an exam) or on the internet from any location.
-
Reviewing material is the most important step in memory retention. This is made easy through Inhouse Training courses because the course is free to view from anywhere with an internet connection. Some course participants will enjoy reviewing the course during relaxation time - for example dropping into an internet café during shopping trips or while waiting for a friend.
